Tout arbre naît d'abord d'une chose invisible : une intention. Hayal, qui signifie rêve en turc, fut la première fragrance de cette maison, et elle se tient au point le plus haut de l'arbre, là où les branches s'affinent vers le ciel ouvert. Un éclat lumineux de citron et d'orange sanguine s'élève vers le thé noir, le néroli et le jasmin, puis se pose sur une douce brume résineuse d'oliban, de labdanum et de ciste, enveloppée de bois de gaïac et de musc. Elle emplit une pièce comme un rêve emplit le sommeil : impondérable, rayonnante, impossible à ignorer. On vous demandera ce que vous portez. Le couloir que vous avez traversé l'aura déjà dit. Voici la couronne, la part de l'arbre qui s'élance vers le ciel.

Chapter I · The Crown
Inspired by Light
Light is the first thing to arrive.
Before you know what a day will hold, the light has already told you it exists. It wakes ambition. Hayal means dream in Turkish, my first fragrance and my own first light, so it sits at the crown of the tree. I built it the way light behaves: lemon and blood orange arrive fastest and brightest, neroli, black tea and jasmine glow rather than glare, and frankincense settles with amberwood and white musk into a haze that stays lit after the citrus has gone.
