The trunk of the tree, where the white boxes end and the black begin. Bergamot and lavender lift a heart of Madagascar vanilla, tonka and benzoin over a soft amber oud, woody rather than smoky. Patchouli and guaiac wood keep the sweetness in check. The gentle way into oud.

The notes. Top: Calabrian bergamot, Bulgarian lavender. Heart: Madagascar vanilla, Venezuelan tonka bean, Siam benzoin. Base: a soft amber oud, Indonesian patchouli, guaiac wood, Haitian amyris.
The character. A vanilla oud, sweet and soft: a first oud for anyone new to it. The accords are oud, vanilla and tonka, rounded by benzoin. Unisex, for women and men alike.
When to wear it. Cool weather and everyday warmth: knitwear, firesides, long dinners. The most wearable fragrance of the house between October and February.
